Pablo V Mendoza
I’m a fully qualified and experienced psychotherapist based in Chapel Allerton, Leeds, specialising in supporting individuals who are finding it difficult to cope due to past or ongoing trauma. Many of the people I work with have experienced bullying at school, emotional neglect, abuse, or struggle with the challenges of being neurodivergent in a neurotypical world.
I provide a safe, compassionate space for those living with PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, and issues around attachment and relationships. I’m particularly skilled in helping clients process deep-rooted pain that can stem from childhood experiences, developmental trauma, or adverse life events.
My therapeutic approach is integrative, but I specialise in EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing)—a powerful, evidence-based method particularly effective for trauma and PTSD. I also bring a strong focus on attachment-based psychotherapy, which helps clients build healthier relationships with themselves and others by working through early relational wounds.
I understand how overwhelming life can feel when past experiences continue to impact your present. Whether you’re struggling with low self-esteem, social anxiety, flashbacks, or simply feeling stuck, I’m here to help you make sense of what you’re going through and move towards healing.
I work from a welcoming and discreet healing centre in Chapel Allerton, Leeds, easily accessible from across the city. I offer both in-person and online therapy sessions, depending on your needs.
If you’re looking for a trauma-informed, empathetic therapist with specialist knowledge of neurodiversity, attachment issues, and EMDR therapy, feel free to get in touch for an initial conversation.
Training & accreditation
My training includes a foundation in person-centred psychotherapy at Metanoia Institute in London (2012), a PGDip in Integrative psychotherapy and counselling from the University of Leeds (2017) and a couple of semesters in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at Bolton university(2018). I also trained with Babette Rothschild in somatic trauma therapy (2017) which gave me further tools to support clients with complex PTSD as well as adverse childhood experiences and abuse.
I have been working as a psychotherapist since 2016, including over two years part-time as an NHS IAPT therapist.
I became a BACP-accredited psychotherapist in 2018 and an EMDR practitioner in 2020.
